Saskatoon, SK, June 30, 2020 — Corteva Agriscience is pleased to announce that as part of its community investment program, $15,000 has been donated to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The contribution from Corteva Agriscience will assist with the purchase of new equipment for Saskatchewan’s new maternal and children’s hospital. Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital is the first and only children’s hospital in the province, servicing the approximately 300,000 children across the province, as well as 6,000 moms annually.
“Saskatchewan was one of two provinces in Canada without a dedicated children’s hospital,” said Laura Gawletz, manager of major gifts, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Our foundation and our many partners have worked tirelessly to raise funds to build a health centre that caters to children and families, providing the best possible pediatric and maternal care. This generous gift from Corteva Agriscience will allow us to continue to sustain the state-of-the-art facility, which will change the lives of families in our province.”
“Access to medical care catering to the needs of children and families in Saskatchewan is incredibly important,” said Greg Stokke, Western Canada area leader with Corteva Agriscience. “This hospital will change the way our province cares for children, mothers and families. We’re happy to contribute to a foundation that will make such a profound impact.”
